WAELE/ARCELFA And Namibia Newspaper Strategise On Working Together For Women Events
Founder/President, Otunba Basirat Nahibi-Niasse and Vice President, Southern Africa, Mrs Mildred Jantjies of Women Advancement for Economic and Leadership Empowerment Foundation in Africa (WAELE) led a delegation from the African continent yesterday to meet with The Southern Times General Manager, Gwen Snyders, Marketing and Distribution departments to map out ways of working together on women events.
The meeting is a run up to the International Peace Summit on Peace & Sustainable Development: ‘The Role of African Women’, which will hold on 1st -3rd November, 2018 in Windhoek, Namibia.
The summit will bring together a high-powered delegation of African women to discuss topics on Peace Keeping and Nation Building; Domestication of United Nations Security Council Resolution (UNSCR) 1325 on Women, Peace and Security; Role of Religious Leaders in Peace and Sustainable Development in Africa; Women and Children Trafficking; ‘The Socio-economic & Devastating Effects in Africa’; Effects of Ethno-religious Conflict on Women and Children in Africa and the Role of Youths in Conflict Resolution& National Development.
